he's played about four first team games, there's no comparison with those three and he's only eighteen. nothing would surprise me though with the vermin running the pub now and after hearing they're planning on selling players to fund Moyes January targets makes you wonder who it will be. what happened to the fantasy £26m they bid for Carvahlo? where has all the fucking money gone?

Did say I fancied us to notch from a set piece.... we are geared up for it and City are deffo a bit suspect (especially with Stones missing) on their part

Like we did with Cole, Johnson, Lampard etc?
Different board, same mentality.

Listen when I was trying to predict a score a few hours before the game for the life of me I could not think of who would possibly score against them especially as they are a brilliant team.
Obviously not happy but credit has to be given they are starting to work as a team and after watching mostly a team of individuals for two seasons, that is good.

Rice is going to be a hell of a player if his development continues.
I wonder who he'll go to if the wish of some is fulfilled and we get relegated...

happy, it's just the way he sneered about "ten men in the box", which was bollocks as we broke a few times. that squad he has cost a fortune, he now can't manage without a massive budget so should have a bit more respect for fellow professionals. Wenger's the same
I thought Rice was superb, he impresses me every time I see him for the u23s, and he's an improvement on what we've had playing back there recently

Fitness.
Antonio's got an excuse, as a rib injury makes training difficult, but in general our fitness wasn't up to playing City for more than 70 minutes.
Bilic's lax approach to training is still costing us.

agree re Pep. I use to like him, but the last few games he has shown himself to be a cunt. Love to see how good some of these managers would be managing a team on a shoe string. All ego.
On a positive, Upson spoke very highly of Rice tonite on MoTD2. Loved the way he was on his toes the hold game, anticipating everything. He looked the leader of the back 3, and I wouldn't be too hard on him about the goals.

just watched the highlights and guardiola's one sour cunt. nothing worse than a bad winner, he really lacks any humility and no doubt thinks his shit don't stink

Hate to lose, but wtf I expected a real good hiding today.
Boys made me proud, and in between we actually played some real good football too.
Adrian and Rice, motm

Much better today, but we still lost although nothing like what I expected. Didn’t like the tactics second half, although I understand them. A match fit Sakho gets that late chance on target IMO. The bloke’s a cunt but he tends to put in a shift still.
If Adrian doesn’t play next week then Moyes clearly is clueless. Huge game coming up next week for the Ginger Clough.

Hopefully that was the start of our recovery. The effort put in was more than I have seen in the last eighteen months. Pluses Adrian Rice and Arthur. Negatives Carroll stealing a living and not made to travel too every match whether the lump of shit is playing or not.

I thought we did well, and we even had a couple of passengers in the team.
We seem to do better most times we've gone 3 at the back. Unfortunately, the attacking side of the team isn't balanced for that I don't think.

Cracking effort today and the right tactics from Moyes. We look so much better in a 352 and bringing Sakho on for Kayoute was correct and bold. We desperately need movement across that front line.

That sliding tackle at the end was an excellent piece of goalkeeping. Well worth a yellow card.
Adrian, Rice and Sakho to start next game.

Masuaku looks more and more like a proper winger with every game.
Quick, good footwork, decent strength for a winger, and regularly gets to the byline.
Could go from being a squad player to a permanent fixture.

Bloody right, Cough, mate.
Let's not be shy, and let's call City for what they are: one of the very best football teams ever assembled in the history of the game. I won't say the best ever, but they are in with a shout for that title when on their game. Even their 3rd gear is devastating.
We are trying to fight our way out of a mess with loads of injuries and disruption, and we gave that City team a real match.
We won't win the league this season, but if we can keep this up for at least 70% of the remaining matches, we will stay up.
Chelsea and Arsenal will "probably" win, but after today, I know we have a bloody good chance.
